Live:CHELSEA TRANSFER NEWS

. Chelsea will open negotiations with Freiburg over a deal for their forward Luca Waldschmidt, according to the latest reports.

The 23-year-old has scored six goals in 16 games for the German club this season, but his term has been disrupted by several injuries since October.
At the European U21 Championship the previous summer, Waldschmidt ended as the tournament’s top scorer with 7 goals and was nicknamed ‘Il Bomber’ in reference to Germany great Gerd Muller.

Waldschmidt was subsequently given a senior debut for his country and now has three caps for the national side.
According to The Sun, manager Frank Lampard has been monitoring Luca’s progress and he is keen on signing the forward. The report claims that the Blues will now discuss a £20m deal with Freiburg.
It’s also stated that Chelsea believe Waldschmidt will improve ‘when he learns to use his physique’. Frank was keen to sign a new striker in the January transfer market but Chelsea were unable to secure a deal.
Paris Saint-Germain man Edinson Cavani was one of Lampard’s targets but the Uruguayan preferred a transfer to Atletico Madrid. The Chelsea chief is also set to lose Olivier Giroud at the end of the term as his contract will expire.
In other news, Barcelona are reportedly still interested in selling Chelsea target Philippe Coutinho during this summer’s transfer market.
Barca chief Quique Setien recently suggested that the 27-year-old would be part of his plans for next term, branding the playmaker “a great player”.
However, according to Goal, the Spanish club remain keen on a summer sale in order to fund moves for the likes of Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez and Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar.

New Chelsea signing Hakim Ziyech broke down in tears as Ajax gave the playmaker a heart breaking send off ahead of his summer switch to Stamford Bridge.
It is believed that he will be the first of many top class signings that arrive at the club as they seek to push on from this season, and many are excited to see just what he brings to the club
But the new winger broke down in tears after the Dutch giants gave him a send off after a few impressive seasons with Ajax.
Ziyech was brought to the Tuschinski theatre in Amsterdam to be shown a series of clips and messages, where he admitted it was hugely difficult to leave Ajax without a proper goodbye.
‘It’s a bit strange. You know that everything comes to an end. But it’s, you know. It’s a strange way of closing this chapter .’
Asked if he had ever imagined he would leave Ajax in such fashion, Ziyech said:‘No. Not what I had imagined, no.
‘I am happy to take the next step, but you don’t want to end it like this. It feels as if you didn’t pass the exams, that’s how it feels. ‘You’re powerless. It doesn’t feel like the season ended successfully .’
Ziyech started to get emotional as the interviewer suggested he should have been substituted in the final game to a standing ovation, to which he replied:
‘That would have been the perfect end. ‘But unfortunately that wasn’t meant to be for me .’
You may be sad to leave Ajax Hakim, but being a Chelsea player will mean that you get to take you game to that next level and push on to become one of the very best wingers in the game.

Red Devils pursuit of the likes of Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham could see them lose Angel Gomes to the Stamford Bridge.
Man United teenager is not optimistic about getting chances in the Norwegian manager’s first-team due to the similar footballers being eyed up as transfer targets for the club.
This could be a blow for Red Devils as U20 England international looks a promising young talent and they may end up losing him to one of their top-four rivals.
The London giants are confident they could win the battle for Angel’s signature as he continues to stall on signing a new deal and edges closer to being a free agent.
