Who is The Best Presidential Candidate for PDP in 2023 Among These 5 People

May 5, 2020 4:12 PM

One thing about politics is that there’s no rest period; you need to constantly think about how to outsmart your opponents and maneuver them.
To be in opposition in any part of the world means that you need to double your efforts, be extraordinarily creative and make yourself appealing to the masses to unseat the eye position of the present occupiers. We all saw how the Congress of All Progressives (APC) did it in 2015.

By now the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) should have been shopping for the right candidate in order to start marketing him or her to the masses on time.
We have selected five possible names in this piece that can fly the ticket for the party during the presidential election of 2023.

Atiku Abubakar
Atiku didn’t say he won’t be on the ballot again at any given point. He just said he would not have sought a second term in office if he had won.

Also, the fact that he is still lording himself over the PDP means he is still interested in contesting the presidential seat under the platform.
Insiders report indicate that Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike is trying to wrestle the leadership of the party from Atiku but he’s finding it difficult.
Although age is not on the side of Atiku but he has the financial power which is an essential factor in winning an election in Nigeria.
There is high probability of him getting the nod off the party once again.
Aminu Tambuwal
The governor of the Sokoto State is yet another potential and huge party candidate. He was the favorite of the PDP governors for the Presidential poll in 2019 but Atiku broke their back with money.
In the north the former House of Representatives Speaker has a cult-like folklore. After Buhari some pundits actually rate him.

He has the financial muscle to finance his campaign, too. Another advantage that will work for him is his age. He is quite young and intelligent.
He built connections around the country during his tenure as a Speaker, which can be banked on now.
There is no denying that he is an ideal material for the presidency.
Peter Obi
If there is any unrivaled candidate for the PDP in the southeast then it is the former governor of the Anambra. He’s loved by everyone in the region, and sundry.
He also distinguished him for his sterling performance as governor.

He is a prudent and multimillionaire spender. He knows how to spend small for big impact.
If the main political parties are to honor the southeast by allowing them to produce the next president, then by presenting Obi, the PDP will have a greater stake.
Rabiu Kwankwaso
There is no other politician in the whole northwest, as valued as Kwankwaso. Even without the power of incumbency, the popularity of Buhari can not be compared with that of the former governor of Kano State.
His group Kwankwasiyya is scattered across the country. If he keeps eyeing the presidential seat, he’s got the mass of followers there to get him.

During the presidential election there were reports that he sold Kano out to Buhari.
He is indescribably rich in his campaigns too.
Kwankwaso will give the ruling party a run for its popularity with the right vice-presidential candidate, especially in the north where most votes come from.
Seyi Makinde
If the APC zones its presidential ticket to the southwest then Seyi Makinde is the only hope of the PDP. For now, he is the only regional politician capable of neutralizing Tinubu’s popularity.

He has endeavored to the masses within as well as outside the state in less than a year. He’s a presidential material most people love about.
Who do you think is best for the party out of these 5 people?
